I always get butterflies when a close friend asks me to create flower arrangements for her wedding and Jessica is one of the first of my friends I had the pleasure of working with. Jessica and I met swimming for the same summer swim club, which is where we spent pretty much all of our summer days throughout middle and high school. I remember the bus ride to a swim meet when she was telling us about this new guy she was dating. He was a hockey player who attended a private school in the area and of course, we all thought he was extremely cute =). They have been through a lot life’s stages together; graduating high school, attending and graduating college, buying a house, and if I am not mistaken they will adding a furry friend to their family very soon!
Jessica chose a gorgeous color pallet for her October wedding; ivory, soft pink and plum. Her ladies looked stunning in their floor length dresses with lace tops and Jess rocked a satin dress with a stunning beaded belt (have I mentioned before that I am OBSESSED with beaded belts??). Her ceremony took place at the Greenmead Historical Chapel in Livonia, it is such a beautiful and intimate setting for a ceremony. Afterwards, the bridal party took photos with an incredible sunset backdrop with surrounding trees of red, orange, and yellow. It was literally the perfect fall day, it couldn’t have been any better! The reception was held in the main ballroom of the Italian American Banquet and Conference Center in Livonia. She had a mixture of arrangements including lanterns surrounded by mini green and plum clusters, submerged orchid trio’s with a floating candle, and a combination of roses, stock, seeded eucalyptus and plum carnations in a tin container. All of her table arrangements were placed on a beautifully stained wood slab provided by her uncle.
Thank you Jessica for allowing me to be such a big part of your day and we wish you and Corey many many years of love and happiness!
